ObamaCare implementation is fast approaching. Folks are wondering how their health insurance will change come January 1, 2014 when the law commences officially. October 1 starts open enrollment on the Exchanges established by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) or ObamaCare. The PPACA established these Exchanges, also referred to as “marketplaces,” nationwide. Many states have created their own Exchanges, however, Texas is not one of them. So, Texans that choose to purchase on a “Public Exchange” will do so on the Federally-Facilitated Exchange (FFE) platform.
Many people are not sure how the exchanges will work, let alone how to comply with all of the other rules and regulations that ObamaCare imposes. I would like you to know that Deerfield is ready to advise and assist you regardless of whether you qualify to purchase insurance on the public or private exchanges.
